Prof. Peter Sørensen’s main area of research is development, optimization, and implementation of genetic and statistical models for understanding and prediction of complex traits and diseases. Research is centered on the development and implementation of statistical models for leveraging and evaluating information across multiple experimental studies to increase prediction accuracy and provide novel insights into the genetic architecture of complex traits and diseases. Prof. Albert Tenesa’s main research areas is to understand how genes influence the wide range of normal and pathological variation observed in animal and human populations, to develop the methodological tools required to do so and to combine genetic and environmental factors to build prediction models of disease risk and continuous variation levels. |
